The Fulfillment Process

1. Picking

  • OTO PACK Basic:

    • Picking is optional. You can skip it if not needed by disabling it in settings.

    • If picking is enabled, orders can be picked one at a time or in bulk using the OTO PACK Mobile App.

  • OTO PACK Advanced with Bin Tracking:

    • Picking is a must to maintain bin inventory accuracy.

    • Orders are grouped into waves for efficient picking.

    • Pickers use the mobile app to ensure real-time inventory updates by scanning each item.

2. Sorting

  • OTO PACK Basic:

    • Sorting is not available in this package.

  • OTO PACK Advanced with Bin Tracking:

    • Sorting is flexible. You can decide whether to sort orders for each wave.

    • Items are first placed in sorting stations and then organized per order, ready for packing.

3. Packing

  • OTO PACK Basic:

    • Packing is available and straightforward. Users can pack items directly after picking or skip the picking process entirely if disabled.

  • OTO PACK Advanced with Bin Tracking:

    • Packing is mandatory. After sorting (if enabled), items move to the packing stage. Packing ensures the order is ready for shipment.

4. Shipping

Once packing is complete, shipping is the final step.

  • Orders can be shipped using the mobile app or the dashboard, depending on your workflow.

Packing Status Updates

Tracking the progress of an order is effortless with packing statuses. Each status shows where the order is in the fulfillment process:

  • Empty Status:
No WMS operations have started yet for the order.

  • Picked or Ready For Collection:
The order is picked and waiting for the next step, such as packing or sorting.

  • Missing Item or Missing Item Click & Collect:
The picking process identified missing items. These orders cannot proceed to packing until picking is renewed.

  • Partially Picked:
The missing items are confirmed, and the order is marked as partially picked.

  • Packed:
The packing process is completed, and the order is now ready for shipping.

  • Shipped:
The order has been handed over to the courier and marked as shipped by the warehouse team.

Why OTO PACK Stands Out
