How to create a reverse shipment?

Reverse shipment means to pickup a delivered item from customer home address and deliver back to its origin which can be a warehouse or store.

Reverse shipments are something that we do not want them to happen often. However they are an important part of the ecommerce business. When it is necessary, creating a reverse shipment with OTO is very easy. You can simply find the order from delivered orders and create a reverse shipment for that. 


You need to follow the steps below to create a reverse shipment:

Step 1:

Go to the side menu and click "Orders" then select the "Delivered" tab from to top menu. Keep in mind that you can create a reverse shipment only for delivered orders.

Select the order and move your cursor over shipment tab and click "Create Return Shipment" 

Step 2:

Enter the package count and the quantity you want to return. You can create partial return with this option. Write your comments if necessary. You can create automatically or instead manually by choosing the delivery company and clicking the create manually button.  After successfully updated orders status will be changed to "Reverse shipment processing".
