OTO provides the advanced ruling engine for automating your shipping operations and remove the workload from your operations team on how to select the right courier for an order.

Feasibility rules are used in OTO to define shipment restrictions according to certain criteria to force assigning some couriers or avoid assigning certain couriers.

1- Click on settings on the top menu and click on feasibility rules.

2- Click on add button and the rule form will open. First Enter the name of the rule you want to add and select the action that rule will work with. Do not assign will avoid the system assigning the selected delivery company to be assigned in case of the defined criteria. Assign only as opposite forces the system to assign the selected companies for the defined criteria.

3- Then select the shipment type whether this rule should be applied for reverse or forward shipments or both. Then select the status as active (rule goes live), test mode(the rule is inactive on real but active in test mode), inactive (the rule is inactive on test mode and real mode as well). then select the delivery company that you want to implement the rule by selecting and click on add button as shown below.

4- Lastly the criteria for the rule should be set. Simply select from the parameters that you want to apply and select the condition and parameter value. As an example, if you want to ship orders from Riyadh to Riyadh that are less than 30 kg with selected company rules set will be as follows.

Please note that feasibility rules are only available for OTO ECOM + clients. If you want to upgrade to OTO ECOM + just reach us out from support channels or email at support@tryoto.com and enjoy automated shipping.
